Ome Match

Room not recorded • Limited metadata retained

What we keep, and what we do not

No honest service stores literally nothing. Here is the straight version: the live room is not recorded on our side, and a thin layer of metadata is kept for safety, billing and abuse prevention.

The live room is not recorded on our side

Your video chat is a real-time connection between two people. We do not record the room, archive it, or analyse it. When you leave, the session is gone — there is no saved file of your conversation.

We say "the room is not recorded," not "nothing is ever stored," because the second claim would not be honest for any real service.

What is retained, and why

A narrow set of non-video data is kept so the platform can run safely and lawfully: basic operational logs (timestamps, error and abuse signals, coarse device and region data); payment records if you buy credits, handled by the payment processor for billing, refunds and accounting; and report context when someone files a report, so moderation can act.

This is targeted retention, not a recording of everyone. The specifics and retention periods live in our Privacy Policy.

Anonymous by default — but not invisible

You can start without an account and without a public profile, so we are not building an identity for you. That is what "anonymous" means here — not that zero data exists anywhere.

Logs and, if you pay, payment records do exist. Anonymity is about not building a profile of you, not a promise that nothing is stored.

The recording risk is the other person

Even though we do not record the room, anyone can run screen-capture on their own device. No platform can fully prevent that.

We make it a violation, keep report and block one tap away, and keep your camera off until you turn it on. Keep documents and identifying details out of frame, and report anyone who appears to be recording.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is my video chat recorded?

Not on our side. The live room is not recorded, archived or analysed. When you leave, the session ends with no saved copy.

So nothing is stored at all?

No — that would not be honest. The room is not recorded, but operational logs, payment records (if you buy credits) and report context are retained for safety, billing and abuse prevention.

If nothing is recorded, how does moderation work?

Moderation is real-time: automated filters plus human review act in the moment, and report context is retained for specific flags. It does not need a recording of every room. See the moderation page.

Is Ome Match really anonymous?

You can use it without an account or public profile, so we do not build an identity for you. But logs and payment records exist, so it is not zero-data. Limit what you show and say.

Can someone else record me?

Assume yes. Anyone can capture their own screen; no app can stop every device. It is against the rules and reportable — keep identifying details out of frame.

Private by design, honest about the rest.
